For Patients

Your questions answered

Everything you need to know about visiting the practice in Markham — booking, your first appointment, sedation, costs, insurance, and who will be treating you.

Getting started

How do I book an appointment? +

Request an appointment through the website or call (905) 479-7777. Availability typically opens within one to two weeks, and same-day emergency slots are held back for urgent cases.

I am a new patient — what should I bring? +

Your insurance card, photo ID, and any existing dental x-rays from previous providers. Arrive ten minutes early for intake forms, or complete them online beforehand to save time.

What happens at my first appointment? +

A comprehensive examination, professional cleaning, and digital imaging including x-rays and photographs. The dentist then discusses your oral health, reviews what treatment you need, and answers questions. Expect sixty to ninety minutes.

Can I request a specific dentist? +

Yes. Indicate your preference when booking online or calling. Availability varies, and if you have no preference the team will match you with the dentist best suited to your situation.

Do you accept walk-in patients? +

Walk-ins are not typically accepted, but urgent cases are prioritised. If you are in dental pain or have had an injury, call (905) 479-7777 immediately for same-day scheduling.

What are your office hours? +

Monday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, closed Sundays.

Parking, facilities & languages

Where are you and where do I park? +

4792 Highway 7 East, Markham, ON L3R 1M8 — on the south side of Highway 7, east of McCowan Road. Free, ample parking is available directly in front, and we are accessible from both Highway 404 and the 401.

Is your office wheelchair accessible? +

Yes. There is accessible parking, a ground-floor entrance, and accessible treatment areas. Mention any specific accessibility needs when you book so we can prepare.

What languages do your staff speak? +

Between our doctors and team: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Hebrew, Greek, Macedonian, Hindi, Gujarati, Russian, Korean, and French. Dr. Julien Kim is fluent in Korean, Mandarin, and English; Dr. Claudio Tocchio speaks Italian. Professional interpreters can be arranged for other languages.

Are children welcome? +

Yes, at all ages. Safe sedation options are available for anxious or very young patients through our dental anesthesiology expertise, and we run a children's dental care programme.

Is there somewhere for companions to wait? +

Yes — a comfortable waiting area with WiFi, refreshments, and entertainment. Parents and caregivers are welcome to accompany patients, and for certain procedures we actively encourage bringing a support person.

Treatment & services

What should I expect if I need sedation? +

Nitrous oxide and IV sedation are both available, depending on the procedure and your level of anxiety. A dental anesthesiologist oversees sedation, and options are discussed at consultation. You will need a designated driver afterwards.

Do you offer emergency dental care? +

Yes. Emergency patients are typically seen the same day or the following morning. Call (905) 479-7777 immediately for pain or trauma. After-hours emergencies are directed to an emergency dental clinic.

What technology do you use? +

3D CBCT imaging, intraoral scanners, computer-guided implant surgery, and an in-house digital dental lab for same-day restorations — which together make treatment faster, more accurate, and more comfortable.

Can I get same-day crowns? +

Yes. Our in-house CAD/CAM milling system designs and fabricates crowns in a single appointment, so there are no temporary crowns and no return visits. Same-day fillings, inlays, and other restorations are often available too.

What do dental implants cost? +

It depends on complexity, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of restoration. Dr. Raj Singh provides a detailed, itemised estimate after consultation, and financing plans are available.

Payment & insurance

What payment methods do you accept? +

Cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, online transfers, and pre-authorised bank withdrawals. Flexible payment plans are available through financing partners for larger treatment plans.

Do you offer payment plans? +

Yes. Interest-free plans on treatment over $1,200, extended terms up to sixty months, and partnerships with third-party financing companies including Medicard.

Will insurance cover the full cost? +

Typical coverage is preventive care at 100%, basic care at 80%, and major work at 50% — but this varies considerably by plan. Check with your provider before treatment so you know what to expect.

Are there discounts for uninsured patients? +

Yes. Discounted fees are available for uninsured patients and for those paying in full upfront. Ask when you schedule.
