CAD-CAM dentistry combines digital design and milling technology to deliver high-quality restorations with fewer appointments. At Dentistry at Vitality Health, we use CAD-CAM systems—such as the CEREC AC Omnicam—for creating porcelain crowns, inlays, onlays, and implant-supported restorations in a single visit.
The process begins with a digital impression using an intraoral scanner. This eliminates the need for traditional molds and improves accuracy from the start. The scan is then used to design the restoration digitally, ensuring a precise fit and natural look. Once the design is finalized, the restoration is milled in our in-house unit using durable ceramic materials.
This approach offers several advantages. Same-day dentistry means no temporary restorations, fewer injections, and fewer visits overall. The accuracy of the digital workflow also supports better long-term outcomes and improved comfort. Because the entire process is managed within our facility, quality control remains high and turnaround time is significantly reduced.
CAD-CAM dentistry enhances both efficiency and patient convenience. It allows us to complete restorations such as crowns or onlays in a matter of hours rather than days. This is particularly helpful for patients with busy schedules or those traveling from outside the local area.
Whether restoring a damaged tooth or replacing a filling, CAD-CAM technology ensures timely care without compromising quality.
