Your first visit, step by step

1

Arrival — 10 minutes

Arrive ten minutes before your appointment. You will check in at the front desk, and our team will verify your insurance and have you sign any consent forms not already completed online.

2

Medical history & consultation — 15 minutes

A clinical team member reviews your medical history, medications, allergies, and previous dental treatment, and we discuss why you are here and any anxieties you have. This is essential: it determines which treatment approach and which anesthesia are right for you.

3

Examination & assessment — 20 to 30 minutes

A visual inspection of teeth and gums, x-rays or 3D CBCT imaging if needed, digital intraoral scans, and testing for decay and gum disease. For new patients this is comprehensive — we are evaluating your overall oral health, not just the tooth you came in for.

4

Treatment discussion — 15 minutes

Your dentist explains what they found, shows you the imaging, and sets out the options from conservative to advanced, with benefits, costs, and timelines for each. You choose what feels right.

5

Treatment plan & estimate — 10 minutes

If you want time to decide or need to check coverage, you leave with a written plan and cost estimate. Simple procedures can often start the same day; complex cases are scheduled.

6

Treatment — time varies

If you are starting the same day, we numb the area, explain each step as we go, and check in frequently. If you requested sedation, our dental anaesthetist manages your comfort throughout.

7

Wrap-up — 10 minutes

Before you leave we review aftercare, discuss any discomfort to expect, schedule follow-ups, and answer remaining questions.
