Our in-house 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanner brings advanced imaging directly into our clinical workflow. This technology produces highly detailed, 3-dimensional images of the jaw, teeth, sinuses, nerves, and other vital anatomical structures. Unlike traditional 2D X-rays, CBCT scans provide cross-sectional views, allowing us to examine the available bone, root orientation, and spatial relationships in much finer detail.
CBCT imaging plays a vital role in implant dentistry, oral surgery, root canal treatments, and diagnosing complex dental conditions. With this scan, we can visualize bone quality and density, which is crucial for planning precise implant placement. The digital data from the scan is imported into our treatment software, where we can virtually position the implant in an ideal location before surgery even begins.
Having this scanner on-site reduces the need for external imaging appointments and speeds up the planning process. The scan itself is quick and non-invasive, typically taking under a minute to complete. It uses a focused beam and lower radiation levels compared to medical CT scans while still providing highly accurate results.
With this technology, we can provide safer, more predictable outcomes and enhance communication by showing you detailed visuals of your oral anatomy during consultations. It’s part of our effort to make diagnostics more precise and your dental care more efficient.
