Advanced Full Mouth Restoration

All-on-6 implants for
maximum stability and longevity.

All-on-6 uses six implants instead of four to support a full arch of teeth. The additional implants provide increased surface area for osseointegration, enhanced force distribution, and superior long-term stability. All-on-6 is ideal for patients who want the most durable, stable solution or who have specific anatomical considerations.

What Is All-on-6?

The enhanced implant approach

All-on-6 places six implants to support a full arch prosthesis. Four implants are placed similar to the All-on-4 technique (two straight at the front, two angled at the back), but two additional implants are inserted in the posterior region or mid-region of the arch. This configuration maximizes the implant support area and distributes biting forces more evenly across the jawbone.

The additional implants provide several advantages: better load distribution reduces stress on individual implants, increased surface area for bone integration improves stability, and the prosthesis can be designed with less cantilever (overhang beyond the implants). For patients with less bone density or who want maximum longevity, All-on-6 is an excellent choice.

All-on-6 is more technique-sensitive than All-on-4. It requires careful planning to position six implants optimally. Dr. Singh's extensive experience and computer-guided surgery make complex cases predictable. Like All-on-4, All-on-6 can often be completed without bone grafting, and a temporary prosthesis can be attached immediately.

Candidacy Assessment

Who is a candidate for All-on-6?

All-on-6 works best when you have adequate jawbone height and density to safely place six implants. With computer-guided surgery and Dr. Singh's expertise, we can position implants at optimal angles even in cases with moderate bone resorption. However, if bone is severely compromised, All-on-4 or bone grafting may be recommended instead.

Bone height is the primary determining factor. The posterior (back) implants in All-on-6 require sufficient bone height above the sinuses (upper jaw) or above the inferior alveolar nerve (lower jaw). A 3D CBCT scan reveals these measurements. If adequate height exists, All-on-6 becomes a viable option.

Systemic factors also matter. Patients with well-controlled diabetes, heart disease, or other conditions can usually proceed. Smoking reduces healing rates and implant success; we discuss this openly. Our dental anaesthetist's anesthesia expertise allows safe treatment for medically complex patients.

All-on-6 FAQs

Detailed information about All-on-6 treatment.

During your consultation, we perform a 3D CBCT scan and assess bone volume, density, and anatomy. If you have excellent bone and want maximum implant surface area for long-term durability, All-on-6 is ideal. If you have moderate bone loss and want a more economical solution, All-on-4 often works well. Dr. Singh recommends the best option for your specific anatomy and goals.

Both have similar implant longevity (20-30+ years). The difference is in how they age. All-on-6's superior load distribution may result in less stress-related implant loss over decades. However, the primary difference is in mid-term stability and esthetics—All-on-6 maintains better support at back teeth and may resist bone loss better. Individual outcomes depend heavily on maintenance and overall health.

Yes, placing six implants is more technically demanding than four. It requires precise positioning to avoid nerves and sinuses while achieving optimal angles. Dr. Singh's experience and computer-guided surgery make this complexity manageable. Surgical time is typically 3-5 hours. You still receive a temporary prosthesis immediately after.

Yes. Dr. Singh fabricates a temporary prosthesis in-house and attaches it the day of surgery. This immediate prosthesis is functional and esthetic, giving you teeth immediately. You follow a soft diet initially. After 3-6 months of healing, we fabricate a more durable permanent prosthesis.

All-on-6 typically costs $3,000-$5,000 more than All-on-4 due to additional implants and surgical complexity. Costs range from $22,000-$30,000 per arch. We provide itemized estimates after your consultation. Payment plans are available. Insurance coverage varies.

Not always. All-on-6's strategic positioning and longer implants often work in cases with moderate bone loss. However, if bone height is severely compromised (especially posterior to sinuses or nerve), grafting may still be recommended. Dr. Singh determines this after imaging review.

You have appointments at 2 weeks (post-op check), 6 weeks (bite adjustment), 12 weeks (osseointegration assessment), and then when your permanent prosthesis is ready (typically 4-6 months post-op). After that, we recommend professional cleanings every 3-4 months to monitor bone and gum health around the implants.

Yes. You can have All-on-6 on upper, lower, or both jaws. Many patients restore one arch first, then the other if desired. Some restore only the upper jaw if teeth are visible when smiling. We discuss your priorities during consultation.
