As part of treatment planning, a 3D CBCT scan is taken to assess your bone volume, nerve positions, and the anatomy of the implant site. Dr. Singh reviews the images with you, explains your options, and develops a treatment plan tailored to your situation — including a detailed cost estimate.

Step 2: Preparatory Procedures

Creating the right foundation

Not every patient requires this step. But for those who do — patients with insufficient bone, active gum disease, or teeth that need to be removed before implant placement — the preparatory phase happens first. Bone grafts typically require three to six months of healing before the implant can be placed.

Step 3: Implant Placement

Computer-guided precision surgery

Implant placement is performed using computer-guided surgery — a protocol that transfers the digital treatment plan into the surgical procedure with sub-millimetre precision. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, with IV sedation available through one of our dental anaesthetists for patients who prefer complete relaxation.

Step 4: Healing and Integration

Osseointegration takes time

After placement, the implants need time to integrate with the jawbone — a biological process called osseointegration. This typically takes three to six months. During this period, you are not without teeth — provisional restorations maintain your appearance and basic function.

Your permanent result

Once the implants are fully integrated, the final restoration phase begins. A digital scan is taken of the implant positions. The restoration — whether a single crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthetic — is designed on screen using CAD software and fabricated in the in-house digital dental lab.

Step 6: Maintenance

Designed to last

Implants are designed to last. Maintaining them requires the same care as natural teeth — brushing, flossing, and regular dental exams. Your hygienist uses instruments designed specifically for implant maintenance, and your implants are monitored at every visit.
